Dressmaking from a commercial pattern

6.30 til 8.30

Learn to make a garment on the sewing machine from a commercial pattern of your choice.

One on one tuition.

Eight people in each class so book early to avoid disappointment!

Course cost: €260

All levels welcome.

We recommend that you have your pattern, fabric and all supplies before the classes start and that you arrive on time.

For the sewing classes you will need some of the following:

Scissors for paper, scissors for fabric, a measuring tape, thread, needles, fabric, and an easy or very easy Vogue pattern. We stock all of these things.strong>

Pattern making course, Thursday 6th June.

You will learn how to draft a personal skirt block, to fit yourself.

Then on a 1/4 scale, you will learn how to draft the follwing skirt variations: a flared skirt, a pleated skirt, a skirt with a basque, a gathered skirt.

And then you will design your own skirt, and make it up in a toile.

This course costs €260.

You will need the following:

Scissors for paper, pencils,scissors for fabric, a measuring tape, thread, needles, calico,

french curves, pattern paper, a 45 degree set square and a tracing wheel.

To secure your place on the 8 week course we need to take a 50% non-refundable deposit.
